Neoprene vibration isolation pads eliminate vibration issues and high frequency noise problems associated with equipment and impact machines. They reduce vibration and noise, plus, in most cases, bolting equipment to the ground is no longer needed. Neoprene pads are an excellent, low cost solution for minor vibration problems.
We are proud to carry neoprene pads from the #1 manufacturer, Mason Industries. Mason started in 1958 and have been frontrunners in the design and manufacturing of neoprene isolation pads and mounts. We are proud to be the Canadian representative for Canada.
The Many Benefits of Neoprene Vibration Pads
Besides their primary benefit of reducing vibration and noise, neoprene rubber pads have other associated benefits:
- Highly durable, impact resistant and absorbs vibration. This rubber material is oil and weather resistant.
- Minimize machine elevation as they are flat.
- Prevent damage to both the floor underneath and the machine itself.
- Prolong machine life.
- Reduce excessive wear and tear to the equipment.
- Increase machine stability and decrease noise.
- Eliminate the need to bolt down equipment.
- Are versatile as they work in conjuction with other products. For example, when bolting is necessary, particularly in seismic applications, simply use in with hemi-grommets to isolate industrial machinery vibration. When increased deflection is necessary, use pads with mounts.
- Cost-effective
- Work in many industries and applications.
Common Applications
A range of industries widely use neoprene pads to reduce noise, high frequency vibration and impact from typical machines. Common applications include:
- Chillers
- Compressors
- HVAC Units
- Vent Sets
- Pumps
- Motor Generators
- Transformers
- Diesel Generators
- Punch Presses
- Lathes
- Saws
- Power Presses
- Drill Presses
Our Full Range of Mason Vibration Isolation Pads
Depending on the machine type, size and vibration, there is sure to be a Neoprene Pad that meets your requirements. From HVAC vibration isolation pads to oil resistant Nitrile waffle pads, we have a full range for you to choose from.
Explore the specification sheets below, or contact one of our product specialists for a recommendation.
- BBNR – Bridge Bearing Pad
The name “Bridge Bearing” reflects the high quality of these pads. Bearings that support bridges are neoprene and must pass rigid strength, ozone and oxygen resistant tests.
Longevity is the key characteristic of these pads. This is a real benefit for vibration isolation in floating floors and structural floors.
- BBP – Bridge Quality Pad
- W – Neoprene Waffle Pad
The Type “W” Neoprene Waffle Pad has a higher carrying capacity per square inch along with increased holding power. It has a built-in contamination seal, as well as acting as a dirt and oil dam at the perimeter.
- Ni – Nitrile Waffle Pad
In environments of intermittent or constant gasoline, grease or oil exposure, the Nitrile Waffle Pad is the right choice. Made of a unique material, Nitrile, it has the best oil resistance out of all rubber materials. Another advantage of these pads is that they allow for vibration isolation without bolting.
Isolation under:
- Drill presses
- Milling machines
- Shears
- Lathes
- Punch presses
- And similar machines
For greater efficiency, stack nitrile waffle pads with 16 gauge steel plates between each layer.
- Super W – Super Waffle Pad
Mason Super Waffle Pads provide maximum resilience and vibration isolation. Consisting of standard neoprene and bridge bearing neoprene, these pads have maximum life expectancy, excellent oil resistance and resiliency.
- Mini Super W – Mini Super Waffle Pad
- Hammer Shock Pads
- VSCE-41 – low loading deflection for light equipment and floating floors
Neoprene Mounts
Neoprene mounts provide additional deflection when needed. These mounts are the ideal solution to isolate high frequency vibrations from mechanical equipment. Mason Industries manufacturers a number of neoprene mounts for high vibration equipment along with two options for seismic applications.
- ND – Double Deflection Neoprene Mount
This mount offers more than three times the deflection of pads. It works well to isolate a wide range of mechanical equipment to prevent noise and high frequency vibration. The bottom friction surface allows for installation without bolting in most situations. The neoprene is bridge bearing and this covering prevents corrosion of steel parts.
- BM – Neoprene Cup Mount
This Cup Mount is ideal for situations that do not lend themselves to bolting. Business machines, pianos and other situations benefit from this mount.
Neoprene Mounts for Seismic Applications
Mason offers two mounts for seismic applications.
